A most excellent read! First, read Too Deep for Tears, the first book of the trilogy to enhance this book. However, Too Deep for Tears, would stand alone. But if you read the first book you will already be totally involved in all of the characters' lives as if they were personal acquaintances!! The beautiful pictures that Kathryn Lynn Davis paints with words gives you clear images of the settings. This book is about deep love, family and strength. It is about losing one's self and being able to go beyond surface deep into the next level of emotion. It is such a beautiful story that you will not want to lay it down once you start. I just finished this book and I am chomping at the bit to start the third one. I can only hope that it is as good as the first two delicious novels. I highly recommend these books!

This book held me captive. The story is full of intrigue and romance, set in the Highlands. With I hint of the strife between Scot and English, I can't wait to start the next one.
WOW. I HAVE .TOO DEEP FOR TEARS IN PAPERBACK, I HAD IT SINCE 1980 ish. I can't count how many times I have read and cried. You are a marvels. My books are falling apart,but the story is forever in my heart n my kindle. Keep your talent flowing.
How do you give a book five stars when it leaves you sobbing uncontrollably? If I knew how this book was going to evolve I wouldn't have started reading the trilogy but since I am at the end of the second book I must go on. I hope the last book is happier.
Well written with complex characters. The concept of the three sisters' connections across the continents via their dreams, the storyline jumping from one sister to the next and jumping forward large spans of time is rather frustrating. It seems as if as soon as anyone's life starts to get interesting, the author drops the ball and fast forwards the story. I don't think this does much to enhance the story.
This is an amazing story of love and loss brought to life through the wind, water and land. Such an all encompassing love story of Ian and Ailsa, childhood sweethearts, the separate journeys their lives took and how they came back together. Both books I've read so far in this series is so descriptive, so deep it often brought tears to my eyes. Such great web of characters bringing a reality to life's ebb and flow.
Once I managed to get past the first few chapters, I found this book to be as wonderful as the first one, Too Deep for Tears. The first few chapters just seem to be dragging on ~~ with Eva running off into the ocean because of her "darkness" that is growing inside her. Everything seemed to have been handed to her on a silver platter ~~ adoring parents, wonderful fiance, best friends and she couldn't seem to appreciate any of it. I had to put the book aside for several weeks before I could get back to it.

Once I got back into it, it picked up quickly. My favorite characters will always be Alanna and Aisla and their family and friends. I still adore Ian, from the first book. This book wraps up a mystery between Ian and Aisla ~~ and Alanna finds great love too. She falls in love with David, Ian's nephew. After their wedding, comes a great tragedy for the glenn. And a great victory at a great price.

Eva set off on a search for her birth mother, following all the clues she had left behind. Along the way, she finds a glimmer of her true self and rediscovered her dreams. It is a magical time in her life.

This book is a wonderful addition for Too Deep For Tears. The only regret I have is that it didn't mention much on Aisla's sisters ~~ their stories were told so vividly in Too Deep for Tears that I would love to hear more on them.

So if you can get past the first few chapters ~~ this book will be worth your while. It takes you back into a magical past and dreams. It's a great escape from this world sometimes!

The completion of this trilogy left me complete and yet wanting more of these powerful characters in the trilogy. The Story of the three half sisters and Mairi the mother in the Scotland Highlands comes together in a powerful and intriguing way..........The dreams of the sisters that connect them continue as a new child Ina becomes the focus of the future along with her cousin Conner. The way the story wraps you in its grip will leave you emotionally invested in each of the characters. I love this series and want more of the ongoing lives of these three sisters as they face their fears and move forward with love being the theme throughout the story................You will love this trilogy.
